Yoga is a brilliant preparation method forgiving birth, no matter what type of birth you may experience. The coping mechanisms taught through class help not only in labour but the postnatal period & beyond. There will be techniques you can even teach to your partner, family members or friend to help them manage stress while you’re giving birth! Pregnancy yoga is truly holistic & at Alchemise Yoga we aim to teach in a way that benefits your family unit as a whole.

A Typical Pregnancy Yoga Class

We like to keep things interesting & engaging so you won’t be doing the exact same thing each and every week. You will, however, become very comfortable & familiar with lots of what we teach you:

  • Warm-up on the mat including breathing & gentle stretches

  • Group/partner work

  • Labour breathing practice-learning to cope with your contractions
